How We Review Products
Last updated: June 2026
Transparency in our review process is essential to the trust you place in our recommendations. Here is exactly how we evaluate products.
Step 1: Market Research
We begin by identifying the most popular and highly-rated products in each category on Amazon India. We analyze sales trends, bestseller rankings, and consumer demand to shortlist products for evaluation.
Step 2: Specification Analysis
We compare key specifications across shortlisted products. For kitchen appliances, this includes wattage, capacity, materials, safety features, and energy efficiency. Each product category has specific criteria relevant to its use case.
Step 3: User Review Analysis
We analyze thousands of verified user reviews on Amazon India. We look beyond star ratings to identify recurring themes — what users consistently praise and what they commonly complain about. We give extra weight to reviews from verified purchases and long-term users.
Step 4: Brand and Service Assessment
In India, after-sales service matters significantly. We evaluate each brand's service network, warranty terms, spare parts availability, and customer support responsiveness.
Step 5: Value Assessment
We evaluate price-to-feature ratio, considering the Indian market context. A product priced well for the US market may not represent good value in India. We consider local alternatives and price expectations.
Step 6: Scoring and Ranking
Our overall score is a weighted average of:
- Performance (30%): How well does the product do its primary job?
- Build Quality (20%): Materials, durability, and fit and finish.
- Value for Money (25%): Price relative to features and competition.
- User Satisfaction (15%): Real user ratings and review sentiment.
- After-Sales Service (10%): Brand support, warranty, and availability of service.
What We Do NOT Do
- We do not accept payment for positive reviews.
- We do not fabricate personal testing experiences.
- We do not copy content from other review sites.
- We do not inflate ratings to drive affiliate sales.
Updates
We revisit and update our content when significant new products launch, prices change substantially, or we receive credible feedback about a product's long-term reliability.
